THE YES is an e-commerce startup focused on fashion, personalization, and artificial intelligence. It launched in 2020 on the iOS App Store and on the web in 2021. In 2022, the company was acquired by Pinterest.
THE YES used machine learning and artificial intelligence to curate a feed of fashion product recommendations based on customers' interactions. New customers could fill out a "Style Quiz" as well as "YES" or "NO" individual products and brands to train the algorithm.
THE YES also developed proprietary crawling and image processing algorithms to ingest product information from brand websites and place orders with brands. When it was acquired, THE YES listed the full inventory from over 300 luxury-to-budget fashion brands, totalling over 100,000 products.
